Now here’s a writing activity that will spur you to write your own story set in the past.

Step 1: Identify a building in your town / city that has been built at least 100 years ago. Here is some help. This website will give you details of listed buildings – buildings with special historical significance. https://historicengland.org.uk/listing/the-list/

Step 2: Imagine a young boy or girl who lived near the place where the building was being built. Were they rich or poor? Did they work on the site? Or did their parents did? What did they eat?

Step 3: What if your character found a mysterious object on the building site. How will they solve the mystery of this object? Did they take the help of a friend, like Sindhu and Jeet worked together?

Step 4: Now plan and write your story. Why don’t you draw it as a comic book or illustrate it with pictures of how the building looked like and how your characters looked like.
