You’re Safe With Me is set in an Indian forest during a thunderstorm. The book is not only full of beautiful illustrations. It is also full of metaphors and imagining the beauty of the wind, the lightning, thunder and the bursting river.
So I went looking for poems you could read along with this book. Here are two of my favourites.
The first one is a poem by Emily Dickinson and the second by John Clare – both set here in the English countryside.
